White Gallery 2018 – Floral Details, Lace and Sophisticated Lines
I recently travelled down to London to visit the bridal expo White Gallery,to get a sneak peek of the upcoming bridal trends.
White Gallery is a huge international bridal wear industry trade event, it showcases the upcoming collections of some of the best UK and international bridal designers. Bridal boutiques from all over the UK and Europe attend the event in order to choose which designers to stock in boutique and to choose the dresses. For the first year the event was held at the huge exhibition venue ExCel London.
I was joined on the day by talented and ever so lovely Danielle Smith Photography. Danielle is a creative documentary wedding photographer who covers the whole of the UK and abroad. She loves to capture the real moments of a wedding day-telling stories of love. Simple, beautiful, authentic stories. Her images at White Gallery show her gorgeous fine art style.
Here are some of what I think were the very best bits of White Gallery this year. Huge thanks again to Danielle of Danielle Smith Photography for these beautiful images;
NAOMI NEOH
Naomi Neoh is known for her beautifully romantic, flowing silk gowns with delicate detailing and clasically elegant line and the 2018 collection did not disappoint. Perfect for the bride looking for something whimsical and fine art.
“For 2018 The Celestial Collection is inspired by the wilderness of the heavens, the natural beauty of the sky, and the freedom of the universe beyond the Earth’s atmosphere.”

ZETTERBERG COUTURE
I first came across Zetterberg Couture at White Gallery last year and shortly afterwards we previewed on Adored Bride their beautiful jewellery range Lily and Rose.
Again this year Swedish designer Therese Zetterberg of Zetterberg Couture was showcasing an utterly gorgeous collection of French lace, embroidered and embellished details, stunning eclectic textiles and soft tailored lines. I am a huge fan of this collection.

DAVID FIELDEN SPOSA
David Fielden ‘s White Gallery stand was beautiful. A hugely diverse collection of modern fabrics and embellishments with delicate lines and tailored cuts. If you were after something a little different, you would do well to look at these fashion forward styles.
CHARLIE BREAR
It was so lovely to stop and chat with Charlie of Charlie Brear, we spoke about dresses and the bridal industry of course but also a little about our children (like me, she’s also a mum to multiplies who also happen to have Christmas time birthdays, the pain is real folks!) Anyway I digress, but what a lovely woman she is and her dresses are incredible, gorgeously made, versatile and stunningly beautiful. All brides to be should be checking out this epic collection. I particularly loved the concept of Day for Night, where the designs can be changed up for different looks for the day.

RUTH MILLIAM COUTURE
I think this delicate grey blue chiffon, tulle and pretty flower gown by Ruth Milliam was possibly my favourite at this years White Gallery. Unbeliveably feminine, alluring and the layers are just to die for. Breathtaking.

Oh how I love these shoes, Rachel Simpson creates the most beautiful designs and I’ve featured them in many real weddings on Adored Bride. Renowned for their comfort as well as beauty, Rachel Simpson shoes are a popular choice with brides and its no surprise. I always have a soft spot for the classic mimosa design, but there are so many to choose from.

HARRIET WILDE
Danielle and I lurked around the Harriet Wilde stand (both big fans of pretty shoes!), looking for a moment to have a chat and take some images. Easier said than done as the team were unsurprisingly very busy with clients, but we hovered about and eventually were rewarded with these glimpses.
We spoke with lovely shoe designer Ruth Shaw of Harriet Wilde who named the brand after her great grandmother. Ruth is celebrating 10 years of Harriet Wilde in 2018, a business that has thrived on the personal approach that runs through the company. Her designs are stunning and very distinctively Harriet Wilde, and are the simply perfect finishing touch.

The Eliza Jane Howell dresses are unique, distinctive and quite unlike anything else. Designer Gill Harvey named Eliza Jane Howell after her grandmother, who was also a fashion designer. Eliza Jane Howell’s gown are simply works of art, totally scene stealing, intricate and breathtaking, the beading, the fabrics, the feathers they way they drape, utterly beautiful.

OLVI’S
Olvi’s showcased their white loft collection at White Gallery this year and this pretty low back eyelash lace number with pretty embellished floral details was my favourite of theirs;
All our designs breath a sense of modern antiquity with elegant fabrics such as chiffon, silk, tulle and Venetian lace: laser-cut, beaded and with a variety of trim designs.
