Summery Amanda Wyatt Dress for White and Green Inspired Garden Edit

With May turning to June, we’re pretty spoilt for gorgeous, luscious gardens and natural blooms. It’s all that sunshine mixed with rain!  Stevie Jay Photography pulled together this pretty garden shoot with a stunning Amanda Wyatt gown at the heart of it. Taking advantage of all the natural blooms, the Rhododendrons, wisteria and foliage of the garden at this time of year.

With a beautiful sunny day at their disposal Stevie and the team created this stunning green and white inspired shoot in the grounds at Cannon Hall Museum. Let me hand you over to Stevie to tell you more about their inspiration;

Amanda Wyatt
When I was planning the shoot, I approached Elenor Rose Bridal to be involved and we selected this beautiful dress, it’s called “Promise” from the “Promises of Love” collection by Amanda Wyatt. As soon as I saw this I fell in love with it and knew it would be perfect! The dress is very floaty and summery, which matched the theme exactly.

With green and whites being the colours of the moment, we wanted to create a table set up that was very simple.. something that wouldn’t go out of fashion and also that wouldn’t compete with the natural flowers of the gardens. We complemented with stationery by Cardus Creative with just a dash of copper. It coincidentally complemented our model Charlotte’s beautiful hair colour with stunning make up by Gemma Edwards.

The flowers were in full bloom, the sun was shining.. I really wanted to take advantage of that and create something really pretty.

We tied the white and green theme in with the bouquet and flower crown, by adding simple white flowers, all of which were created by talented Woo B Woo. We also had a vibrant cake by Debbie Gillespie Cake Design, which echoed the branches of the Rhododendrons perfectly.

The shoot took place with the flowers were full bloom and the sun was shining. I really wanted to take advantage of that and create something really pretty. I think the style of the shoot reflects the way I shoot and the style of bride I like to attract,  with a relaxed, natural and romantic style.

A Ballet Inspired Bridal Fashion Edit – Felicity Cooper Authentic Luxe Collection 2018

If you are currently pinning designers and dress ideas like crazy, in search of the perfect dress…. let me gently nudge you towards British Designer label Felicity Cooper Bridal and this ballet inspired shoot. Fiona, the designer behind Felicity Cooper has been creating bespoke pieces for brides since 2010 and last year launched her own collection to bridal boutiques at London Bridal Fashion Week.  It was a massive success and today I’m exited to share with you her latest designs from the 2018 Authentic Luxe Collection. They are a little bit gorgeous.

Fiona is a good friend of mine and I’ve been so excited to see how the brand has just sky-rocketed in the past year and it was great to work with the team behind this shoot. I sourced a venue for the shoot, a gorgeous high vaulted ceiling ballet studio, with huge windows, so we used a little bit of ballet to inspire the shoot for the collection.

Fiona’s dresses are beautifully made, with divine lines, gorgeous cotton lace, flowing chiffon and silks with beaded details, they are so versatile too and look epic in every setting from a tipi wedding, a country house, a wedding in NYC and everywhere in between.

The dresses appeal to the relaxed bride, fun loving and fashion thinking bride. The bride who knows her own mind and style, who wants to be comfortable yet look breath-taking.

It’s been really well received by the boutiques and brides and I’m so excited about our upcoming trunk shows. The dresses appeal to the relaxed bride, fun loving and fashion thinking bride. The bride who knows her own mind and style, who wants to be comfortable yet look breath-taking.

Charlie Brear and Jesus Peiro for Sophisticated Vineyard Inspired Tipi Shoot

Charlie Brear and Jesus Peiro for Sophisticated Vineyard Inspired Tipi Shoot

Charlie Brear and Jesus Peiro for Sophisticated Vineyard Inspired Tipi Shoot

I love a Tipi Wedding, I really do, they are such a versatile space, so warm and welcoming in the day and such a party venue at night! So, I’m so happy to be able to share this elegant styled vineyard inspiration tipi shoot today, captured by Lucy G Photography. The images are a collaboration of wonderful suppliers who work together to dress the award winning All About Me Tipis for their twice yearly open weekends. This coming weekend, Friday 10th to Sunday 12th March, is their Spring Tipi Open Weekend at Delamere Events in Cheshire and I can highly recommend it if you are looking for a beautiful venue for your wedding.

This inspiration shoot draws on a subtle vineyard theme, with bleach wood wine barrels, rich deep wine coloured florals, textiles and stationery with gorgeous sophisticated dresses for an elegant twist on a tipi wedding. The styling is by Pretty Creative at Adored Bride, dresses curated by Lucy at The White Closet Studios, Liverpool, beautiful florals by Heather at Living Colour, stationery by Emma at Hattie Boo Designs, hair and make up by Clare at Harry Jon and textiles by Kaye Hannabuss Textiles. We’ll actually be featuring Kaye’s own wedding day on Adored Blog soon, so keep an eye out for that!

We wanted to try and create a bit of a twist on the traditional rustic tipi wedding by drawing on a quite elegant rather than boho look. The vineyard idea, drew together a lovely rich tone to the whole shoot that really works so well in the warmth of a tipi.

The tipis were set out with a main reception, party tent along with a smaller ceremony/blessing tent that overlooks the lake.

The two bridal looks were from the collection at White Closet Studios, Liverpool. Both designers dresses by Charlie Brear (the backless dress)  and Jesus Peiro (lace backed dress) have the most beautiful delicate lace details and clean flowing lines. Utterly elegant, classic styles but each a little quite daring and very fashion led.

Beautiful cake

The flowers by Living Colour were just a little opulent, with stone urns placed on wine barrels and deep, claret tones in the stunning bouquet. The stationery again played on the vineyard and wine theme with beautiful hand painted invitations, table plan, save the dates and menus by Hattie Boo Designs as well as all the signage details. The Hollies Farm Shop provided the fabulous cheese and deli board, which Lucy G Photography managed to photograph just before everyone swooped on the cheese board to sample it!

Our bride Charlotte had her look created by talented Clare at Harry Jon, with a very natural look to the make up with a subtle rosy claret lip colour and soft brown eye tones. Charlotte’s hair was swept up in a loose up do with the occasional tousled curl loosly falling down around her face and shoulders. For the Charlie Brear dress, Charlotte’s hair was styled with a pretty floral hair clip by Gypsy Rose Vintage.

Kaye Hannabuss Textiles provided the gorgeous bow ties, ties, pocket squares, blankets, cushions and gorgeous claret clutch bags. It is these little details that really bring through the colours of the shoot. Kaye’s work is stunning and all made by hand using liberty prints and Harris tweeds.

Vineyards always make me think of organic, rich, italian style cheese and wine feast eaten alfresco, so that really suited an outdoorsy tipi wedding . Plus we do like a glass of red!

Such a gorgeous shoot, thanks so much to Lucy G Photography for sharing these images today. Don’t forget to call in to the All About Me Spring Tipi Open Weekend, this weekend if you are in the Cheshire area.

An Atmospheric Vintage Inspired Bridal Shoot at Stanton Gardens by Belle Art Photography

An Atmospheric Vintage Inspired Bridal Shoot at Stanton Gardens by Belle Art Photography

An Atmospheric Vintage Inspired Bridal Shoot at Stanton Gardens by Belle Art Photography

I love an atmospheric, slightly dark, slightly edgy but ultimately just beautiful experimental styled shoot. Becy from Belle Art Photography, collaborated with talented florist Katie-Jane from The Garden Studio, to bring us this captivating vintage bridal shoot at Stanton Gardens in Morpeth. I love it! Stanton Gardens is a relatively new venue and it’s a total hidden gem, I predict we’ll hear a lot more of this fabulous space in the future and I bet it becomes a firm favourite with couples.

I really love these images and I have a serious fixation on glasshouses, greenhouses, palm houses and orangeries at the moment, so that’s an added bonus. Add a touch of deep green foliage, a log pile backdrop, a rustic festoon lit and foliage bedecked barn, a floral crown or two and I’m in heaven! Oh and of course the dresses, pure vintage gems from the fantastically curated collection available from Vintage at Number 18.

Becy’s photography is so exciting, I really enjoy real weddings of course but styled shoots really enable talented wedding suppliers to really flex their creative side, collaborate, experiment and produce whimsical and mysterious images like these. I hope you love them as much as I do, here’s Becy to tell you more about the shoot;

Katie-Jane from The Garden Studio and I decided to work together to create a vintage-inspired styled shoot.

stanton gardens

Weddings at Stanton Gardens is a relatively new venue just outside of Morpeth, Northumberland. Katie-Jane had already worked with them before and showed me some images of the beautiful rustic barn and it was perfect! The venue boasts beautiful green gardens, a rustic barn and quirky greenhouses, so there are lots of option for creating some amazing images.

I then contacted a beautiful vintage bridal shop, Vintage at Number 18, who came on board with the most unbelievable original vintage dresses from the 50’s and 60’s.

My vision for the shoot was beautiful, weird and wonderful! I love styled shoots because it enables you to get the images that you really want to create, I’m an artist so I always create a concept before jumping into a shoot.

My style for wedding photography is quite moody and romantic, dark shadows with creamy highlights and lots of greenery – I wanted to create images where you would question the story behind them.

I know the models very well, in fact on of them is my sister! The real couple, Tom and Erin are both quirky individuals and made the whole experience really fun.

Huge thanks to Becy at Belle Art Photography and Katie-Jane at the Garden Studio for sharing this atmospheric shoot at amazing Stanton Gardens with us. It looks like a hidden gem of a venue!

Ethereal, Green and Foliage Inspired Bridal Edit at Victoria Baths

Ethereal, Green and Foliage Inspired Bridal Edit at Victoria Baths

Ethereal, Green and Foliage Inspired Bridal Edit at Victoria Baths

This softly edgy shoot at Victoria Baths in Manchester is by the talents that are Jenn Brookes Photographer and Leah Henson Weddings and I’m so excited about their work. Jenn pulled the idea for the shoot together and had three things in mind; green, movement and soft light. They took polaroids on the day and used those as the inspiration for editing the images. I think it gives the whole shoot a really ethereal feel teamed with the most beautiful dresses, it’s basically divine.

The amazing dresses are from Frock and Soul Ltd a completely brilliant new boutique run by Bekka in the town on Uppermill. Bekka stocks a diverse and unique set of designers including Poppy Dover, Theia, Anais Anette and a selection of one off original vintage dresses too. This Saturday the 21st January, Frock and Soul is hosting a La Poesie Trunk Show, no appointment necessary and you must go check out this new boutique, you really must.

The lovely model is Freyah who’s make up is by the talented ‘Make up by Emily Berry. The venue for the shoot is one of my favourite buildings in the whole world, Victoria Baths in Manchester. For over a decade I lived one street away from it and to see it turn from the dilapidated shell it was – to the amazing venue it is now, is wonderful. So as you can probably tell, I’m pretty excited to have this on the blog today, I hope you love it too. Jenn tells us more about the shoot;

I work with Leah quite a lot and I shoot photographs for her when she does video at weddings. We really enjoy working together and seem to work well, so it was great to do this with her too and express our creativity.

I love different styles of wedding photography and try to appeal to an audience who is after more unusual style but still with a twist of the vintage or the modern if that makes sense!

I made the eucalyptus bunch myself for about £6 and bought it from Flourish on Tib Street in Manchester and tied it together with floral tape, to create a very organic looking and loose bouquet.

A Midsummer’s Day Lavender Luxe Wedding Inspiration

A Midsummer’s Day Lavender Luxe Wedding Inspiration

A Midsummer’s Day Lavender Luxe Wedding Inspiration

I wanted to share with you a glimpse back to a sunny but very windy day in June and to a shoot that I styled in a gorgeous lavender field, with some truly amazing wedding suppliers. The lavender fields are only in bloom for a short while at Inglenook Farm, before the flowers are harvested for essential oils. We used the infusing room to get ready in and honestly the scent from the oils was so intense, we were all slightly floaty and chilled during the shoot. I slept so soundly that night too!

The inspiration for the shoot initially was that I’d seen the lavender field having driven past and the farm kindly said we could do a shoot. The time slot was quite limited as the fields were due for harvest. So we quickly got a pinterest board together with ideas. We knew though that we really wanted to catch some golden hour light if we could. That early evening light that coats everything with a golden glow of light. After a week of rain we were really lucky as the day we reached the fields, the sun came out to play. We wanted to create a fine art luxe wedding feel, very romantic with lots of detailing. I hope you enjoy our midsummer lavender luxe wedding inspiration shoot.

Our model is beautiful Stacey Mellin and these lovely images are by  Lucy G Photography. With bridal wear by Felicity Cooper, florals by Living Colour Floral Design, hair and make by Harry Jon, stationery by Hattie Boo Designs, cake by Time for Sweetpea and silk butterflies by Flutterdesigns.

The breathtaking dress that Stacey is wearing is ‘Matilda’ by British bridal designer Felicity Cooper.  It has such an amazing backless design, with long lace sleeves and a floating chiffon silk skirt that just moved and flowed so beautifully in the breeze through the lavender.

For the stationery Emma from Hattie Boo Designs created a suite of pale lavender grey and white, ripped edge invites, save the dates and place settings. We gathered these together with pretty twine, wax seals, florals, silverwear, linen napkins and french stamps to create a feel of Provence.

The lavender fields were due to be harvested as soon as the lavender flowered.

So the week after we shot there these beautiful fields were hand cut to make essential oils. The smell was incredible!

We were so lucky with the weather on the day, it had rained most of the week. But the light was just perfect, we just had a few moments as the sun started to set to capture that golden hour glow.

The divine flowers were created by the team at Living Colour Floral design. They matched the brief perfectly; lots of fine art inspired foliage, delicate summer blooms with hints of lavender and the softest peach. I especially love the place setting bouttonniere.

Lovely Clare from Harry Jon MUA created Stacey’s look. I love her lashes in particular!! She kept Stacey hair choppy and tousled and her make up delicate and natural with the softest peach lip colour that looks so pretty in the lavender setting.

The informal naked cake and macarons were made with love by Becky at Time for Sweetpea. It tasted so good! I never tire of naked cakes, they are such a pretty addition to any wedding and so versatile to decorate.

For finishing touches we used delicate little hand cut silk butterflies by Flutter Designs and those shoes……? Well I kind of fell in love with those, they are the Paris design by No1 Jenny Packham.

I hope you enjoyed our little taste of summer,

with love
